The "Normal-Segelapparat", as it was called by Lilienthal, was a first well designed aircraft construction, of which he thought he will be able to sell as a standard training equippment to intersted fellows. Indeed he was able to sell some nine pieces of this type. They have been sold to France, Austria, Ireland, England, Helvetia Russia and the U.S.
